It’s finally here!!!! A lot of blood sweat & beer went into the making of this one! Blacks & Old gold Vol. I is the official debut mixtape from Inferno featuring Big Lo & Madness on several tracks. The treacherous trio not only hit it on all fronts with the rhymes but murders every track brutally with the beats! Also containing a few notable and oh so quotable freestyles on a very ecclectic selection of throwback bangers, this one is sure to have you cranking your heat up above 90!

What up world. Once again back it’s the incredible… Na I’m just stuntin on these weak ass bloggers who call themselves helping out the hip hop culture & all they write about is Lil Wayne & Rick Ross. The Real Hip Hop Is Over Here!!!! This week I drop yet another jewel on you fresh out of Da Burgh!  My dude Jon Quest is back with The Real Adventures Of Jonny Quest Season 2 the mixtape!

Jon Quest, one half of the dynamic duo Varsity Squad is back better than ever with the installment of Season 2 in his mixtape series. In true Pittsburgh fashion this is a just push play front to back banger strictly for those of us that are elite boom bap addicts and cant get enough of that good stuff! Season 2 starts off with the Shade Cobain produced banger Step Up,  some might call the sound throw back I just call it real hip hop the way it’s supposed to sound. Hard ill ass boom bap beat with a sick MC going to work on the lyrics! Bad Mother Produced by Boonie Mayfield is most definitely my favorite on this one. Conceptually strong, this one will hit home on all former & current ghetto youth as a highly relatable situation. Along with being giftfully told, the beat carry this tune to all new heights. Dope Feat. Beedie produced by Mass Appeal of The Boom bap Addicts does something that any producer worth his alt can respect as highly skillful. To show you the sample then flip it is some real Hip Hop shit! Third verse has Jon Quest & Beedie killing a In & Out style that only the best of groups can accomplish tactfully.  I could go on all day about this tape but I’ll let you be the judge. All I can really say is Hip Hop Is Back!

What’s really Hood? It’s official Hoodie Season back in the Burgh. That wonderful time of the year when the impending winter chill begins to set in & the jook boys start getting their heating bill money up! But I got enough heat for the street s to last you all winter well into the spring time. This week I bring you B. White The Evidence.

Once again the hardest crew out of Pittsburgh hits you square in the head with another banger. B.White, the front running MC of the Hip Hop Super crew The 58′s goes solo on this one to present The Evidence. This joint is straight kill from intro to outro. B.White destroys conventioal wisdom of the 16 bar verse & hits you with rapid fire lyrics on more than one occasion on this mixtape.  Starting with what is sure to be an anthem The Intro (Salute) is a true ode to the city in every way. Coming straight for your throat on track 2 is Where You At Feat. Mayo. With a Wu-Tang sample for the hook exclaiming throw your hands in the air and the chest thumping instrumental By Git Beats this joint goes beyond hard & is sure to be a favorite among real Hip Hop fans. Hardwood Classic Feat Mayo has B.White & Mayo showing shades of a Styles P-Jadakiss in & out style how they match up bar for bar over a super ill Sayez produced track. Let Me Breathe Produced by Big Jerm & Sayez once again shows why B.White is the talk of the town & bar for bar over any beat why he’s a true Pittsburgh champ.

I could truthfully big up every song on this one but I will let you chose the rest of your own favorites! Smoothe production, Killer lyrical delivery & the overall fact that the Burgh Runs This Shit! puts this mixtape up as one of my favorites this year.

What’s really hood world? Been staying on the grind 24/7 to bring you nothing but that real heat from the street. I’m talking about that resonating type heat that only the streets hold, like skyscrapers after sun down. Once again I bring you the gift of fire. Straight out of The East End Empire I bring you Franchise with Schizophranic Mindset.

If you ain’t up on your Pittsburgh Pistolvania Hip Hop Then your seriously slippin. No disrespect to Philly,  But Da Burgh runs this shit!!!

Franchise is an Mcee who just happens to be part of the Pittsburgh super crew The 58′s. This mixtape is hosted by DJ On Point and dropped in 2009 which shows it’s a slow roll to over night success! The complete mixtape, withholding a few industry throwbacks is Produced by Big Jerm so you ought to know off top this mixtapes a straight banger!

Whats Hood world? Been a minute since I wrote you last. Been on my grizzly lately getting ready for shows & a trip to A3C in ATL this October. I got a delicious treat for you as usual though, just to keep your mouth watering. I present to you, for your listening pleasure Beedie Sleeping In.

This is the follow up mixtape to Beedies 09 release Most Slept On. This tape dropped early 2010 but is probably very new to you as it should be and chalk full of that real Hip Hop you need in your life. Unbeknownst to most Hip Hop heads out side the Tri-State area, Beedie is far from an over night success & has been around the scene for  awhile now.  Stiff production & slick lyrics make this another East End Empire classic straight out the gate. Add in features from Vinny Radio & Franchise of The 58′s & I’d have to say you have a real banger on your hands.

What’s good world? I hope life is going good for you all. It’s your boy back with another banger for your ears to bleed off of. Pittsburgh has a lot to offer on the local hip hop scene these days, with the doors blown wide open by acts like Wiz Khalifa & Mac Miller but the spectrum is much more vivid than that. With that said, I bring to you Kid A with Blunt Guts & Glory.

This is what I like to refer to as Grown Folks hip hop, meaning the under 25 crowd might not feel this like me & my peers do. This joint got so much throwback  Pittsburgh swag like a Mitchell & Ness Mean Joe Greene Jersey. I really hate to put things in a box but I cant help but feel a little nostalgic listening to Blunt Guts & Glory & reminiscing on mid 90′s Rawkus Records artists like Pharoahe Monch & Blackstar, with just a hint of Large Professor in there. This Joint is a true flashback to when fresh rhymes over the illest of beats actually mattered, & I love it. Killer production from Shade Cobain, Ulliversal and a few others round out a must download installment of pure hip hop culture.  Not The Same Feat. Jon Quest & Ensilence is my personal favorite, followed by the powerful God Grew Tired. A Dream produced by James Moore got to be the the best beat on the joint & My time produced by Shade Cobain is a photo finish second in my book. Overall a front to back album to to rock you well into winter time!

What’s good world, you already know I’m back at you with another one! Let me just start by saying if you don’t know about The 58′s by now you are severely slipping on your underground hip hop knowledge.

May o & B. White are back to kill it with The Mon Valley Miracle.

This is 23 solid tracks of pure hip hop satisfaction. As if Mayo & B. White are not enough of a feature themselves, notable heavy hitters such as Raekwon The Chef, AZ, Cormega, Mac Miller & Jaz-O make special guest appearances to put a delicious icing on a sucker punch cake. Super solid production from P.Fish, Sayez, Git Beats, Big Jerm & even a track from Sam Sneed will have your neck breaking all year long from extreme head nodding to this mixtape. My personal favorite has to be More Than Music. The beat is just disgustingly sick and B.White murders this joint top to bottom with lyrics & style that definitely has me telling people of all walks that he’s the nicest Mcee from the Burgh right now. Other top notch joints are The Maze,  Back In The Mix, & Formed In McKee to take you through the full spectrum of full flavor that only The 58′s can provide.

What up world,  miss me yet? This week we got some real illness coming straight out of the East End Empire. Primavera Vills, one sixth of the powerhouse crew The 58′s has blessed the world with a jewel entitled The Shorthand Legend.

Let me just say, when a cat can kill most other artist’s mixtapes with his intro, yinz cats got a problem! Once again this is how Pittsburgh hip hop is supposed to sound. The soulful boom bap production of Big Jerm & P Fish as well as StewRat & a few others emanate from the speakers, soothing the savage beast into a trance to envision the vivid portraits that Primavera Vills creates with his lyrics. This is a true front to back mixtape with notable favorites like Dope Musicals & Box Car Music. Personal favorites of mine include Untitled As Of Yet & Love Is All I Need (Fuck Love) Which show Primavera Vills Versatility as an artist as well as his ability to kill any subject lyrically.

What’s up world. Wow, all I really have to say is PITTSBURGH IS DEFINTELY IN THE BUILDING!!!

The last few joints I have come across from my home town have been down right phenomenal, and this weeks installment is no different. Beedie comes out swinging for the fence with his latest release, titled The Beat Bully.  This either the 5th or 6th mixtape I know about that Beedie has dropped, so if this is the 1st you have heard from him or Varsity Squad as a whole, Get on your job! This mixtape goes full spectrum to show you the versatility that Beedie has to offer. From Beedie Sings the Blues to Mad Science Feat Jon Quest that real Hip Hop flavor is there to savor. Joints like Story of My Life & My Love Song get a little more introspective & show that Beedie is not scared to think outside the box. The Beat Bully also has a few bonus tracks that give you even more of that Beedie Pittsburgh goodness.

From street anthems like Above The Law to the the video joint Black Ice. Also, with features like Macmiller, Fashawn, S.
